Well not the best summer but what can you do but make the most of it. Kind of a crazy Saturday woke this morning and went for just a little over a 10 km run, got in the house and did a quick change then off to the airport then back dt and headed out to Kits Beach for the Vancouver Open. Rain or sunshine the tourney was going to happen. Glad I went saw some old players that I use to see when I use to play there. Brought back some great memories wish I still played there.

Nimby's
Ate at Nimby's Burger. The cook who put our order together was more proud of his food than I was. It was ok needed more burger.
Kits Beach
After returning from North Vancouver I wanted to check out the beach volleyball tournament at Kits Beach. The weather actually didnt turn too bad so called Peter and took off to Kits. Unfortunately the qualifying rounds were already completed but I ran into a friend that I haven't seen in almost 5 years who did make the qualifier. Mark a former UBC volleyball player is also quite good beach player too.Will catch the beach volleyball action tomorrow afternoon.

This morning I was not going to let mother nature stop me from hiking the Grouse Grind. On a very over cast day I headed out to North Vancouver. I always say the journey to your destination point is always an exciting experience and I have to admit taking the bus to the mountain is not that bad but would prefer to drive cuts the traveling time in half. Happy with my time which was 46:01.4 mins not bad but my goal time is and will be 39 mins.

Not too sure if I like this CD yet but this song is really the few that I do like from her new CD.

The original version was sung by Bonnie Raitt. Usually the remakes are not as good as the original but this stays true to form. Lisa is from Holland's X- Factor and Nick is part of Nick and Simon a very popular duo group in Holland.
Free Outdoor Movie
The first outdoor movie of the summer at 2nd Beach in Stanley Park. Movie shown that night was Jurassic Park. A great venue but not the most comfortable one.

If you can only see how bored I was today. My goal was to do the Grouse Grind this afternoon after work today but the lack of what is suppose to be known as summer didn't inspire me much but still no excuse. I tried to convince my friend Cliff to come with me but I always know what his answer will be. NO! I always keep asking him as you just never know one day he may surprise me. I guess will have to wait for another day.

I have been inspired to finally set up a blog. As much as Facebook has become my gateway to sharing to the world it is nice to have something to call my own. I hope to share with you as much as I can and you the same.
